Zusammenfassung:Due to the large changes caused by globalization, companies have realized that employees are their most important asset. Therefore, those companies started to think about ways to improve the employees performance, once they spend most of their time at work. This led to the first studies on Quality of Life at Work, the central theme of this research, which focused on this aspect of executive assistants work in a Public University. The researcher made use of relevant literature to substantiate the theoretical part, and right after applied questionnaires to executive assistants of Universidade Federal de Itajub - Unifei. The questionnaires addressed ergonomics, working environment, health and work system, as well as details of the furniture used by the employees. Data were tabulated and the researcher came to the conclusion that the executive assistants who answered the questionnaires were satisfied with their QLW. Still, most of them reported the absence of information about the prevention of occupational diseases that could be generated by continued use of the computer, inadequate support for feet and hands or wrong sitting posture facts identified in this study. Thus, it is recommended that Unifei educates its employees about ergonomics and prevention of Repetitive Strain Injuries and Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
