Zusammenfassung:A descriptive and prospective study was performed with 102 patients scheduled for gynecological surgery using 100 micrograms of intrathecal morphine as a postoperative analgesic technique in a multimodal approach (NSAlDs IV plus Paracetamol PO). The pain and the presence of side effects were used to document the analgesic effectiveness. The age average was45 years (± 9 years) and more than half of the patients had a classification of risk lE. Abdominal hysterectomy wasthe most frequent procedure in 62% of cases. The control of pain was appropriate with a Verbal Rating Scale of O at 3 (mild) in most of the patients (71.6% and 88.1% in the immediate postoperative and betare discharge respectively) and none of them were with severe pain at the 24 postoperative hours. The most frequent side efect was vomiting in a 35% of the patients and 26.4% required additional analgesia.
