DETERMINANTES DE LA FECUNDIDAD EN EL DEPARTAMENTO DE ANTIOQUIA/DETERMINING FACTORS IN THE FERTILITY OF WOMEN IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ANTIOQUIA/DETERMINANTES DA FECUNDIDADE NO DEPARTAMENTO DE ANTIOQUIA/DÉTERMINANTS DE LA FÉCONDITÉ DANS LE DÉPARTEMENT D'ANTIOQUIA

According to DANE's (Statistics National Administrative Department) last census in Colombia, global fertility rate in the department of Antioquia has diminished, evolving in a better social position for women in the region. Nevertheless, pregnancy rates in adolescent women has increased in the last ten years, due to changes in socio-economical indicators such as education level, work situation, place of residence, infant mortality and marriage. This behavior in the fertility rate of the department is important to determine an approximate growth in the population as well as the sexual behavior trends of its inhabitants. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
