Zusammenfassung: | The indispensable condition for the formation of economic hydrocarbon accumulations is the availability of subsurface spaces with reservoir properties, favorable geologicalstructural settings, and development of reliable fluid impermeable caprocks. In northeastern Russia, such fluid impermeable largely clayey sequences are widespread in Mesozoic Upper Cenozoic sequences of sedimentary basins. Analysis of factual material on all the sedimentary basins of northeastern Russia reveals that competence of rocks is inherent mostly in NeogeneQuaternary pelitic sedimentary sequences. |
