We found an increase in the following areas: Incidence of AEs (0.97% in 1989; 2.31% in 2009), index of mortality (1.37 in 1998; 1.68 in 2009), index of length of stay (1.40 in 1998; 2.72 in 2009) and relative level of intensity of resources used (2.38 in 1998; 3.83 in 2009). |
