Zusammenfassung: | (1) Optimal harvesting strategies for non-density-dependent, normalized, age-stable populations modelled using Leslie matrices are discussed briefly. (2) The problem of determining an equilibrium-population, given that in a realistic situation populations are not normalized, is considered. Several such populations are investigated and one is recommended. This choice is obtained by the use of a constraint on the population which has not appeared before in the literature. (3) The concept of non-normalized equilibrium-populations necessitates the introduction of intermediate harvesting policies. These are used to generate the desired equilibrium-population from a given age-stable population. Of the generation programmes discussed one is chosen which should ensure that the parameters in the Leslie model remain valid. |
