Zusammenfassung:This paper is an edition with commentary of a Greek graffito of unknown provenience now in New York City. The text, inscribed on a piece of broken sandstone, consists of 18 lines and is a votive offering in elegiac couplets to Πὰν ϵὔαγρος καὶ ϵ̓πήκοος. It was probably dedicated by the leader of an elephant-hunting expedition after his return from a voyage along the Trogodytic coast. The writing and the contents suggest a date in the latter part of the third century B.C.
