Zusammenfassung: | Data from 291 US married couple who participated in the Michigan Time Use Survey are used to document the extent of misperceptions of reproductive ideals among couples. Perceptual errors of spouses are found to be common, nonrandom, & influenced by a variety of socioeconomic variables. It is concluded that research on fertility intentions & contraceptive use-effectiveness that uses wife-only data may be flawed. Speculations are also made on the extent & quality of marital communication. 5 Tables, 16 References. Modified HA |
