Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses
polynomial iterations, of built-in second and third order, for efficient extraction of
kth roots. The iterative formulas are constructed by
a-priori design, using only elementary algebraic means, suitable as an instructive subject for a mathematical-educational laboratory. A full error-decay analysis accompanies the microcomputer runs, which are at the heart of the computational assignments. The learning process in a mathematical laboratory environment is given a major consideration throughout. |
