Zusammenfassung: | This study uses large-scale survey data to analyse the status of vocational training among firms in Taiwan. It concludes that vocational training in Taiwan is not widely practiced and needs to be strengthened. Factors which are relevant to the cost of training, such as labor turnover rates and output per man-hour, as well as factors which are relevant to the benefit of training such as concentration ratios, labor productivity (salary), and level of technology are all shown to have a significant impact on a firm's training effort. |
