Zusammenfassung:The education and training of qualified marriage counselors is assumed to include the necessity of providing clinical supervision. A model of supervision is presented, offering ideas for the supervisor as well as the supervisee. The who, what, when, where, and why of providing clinical supervision for marriage counselors is discussed, dealing with such questions as: How often? For how long? Interminably? In what settings? Practical as well philosophical suggestions are made. Description of supervision, moving through preceptorship, apprenticeship, mentorship, sponsorship to peership relationships, is presented.
