Zusammenfassung: | Two protein‐containing fractions are obtained from an alkaline phosphate extract of the pulp of young Bramley's Seedling apple fruits and their amino‐acid constitution determined, after hydrolysis, by means of filter‐paper chromatography.
It is shown that the two protein fractions contain the same twelve amino‐acids but that aspartic acid is absent from one of the fractions. This fraction does, however, contain an additional acid which has not been identified but which appears, from its position on a two‐dimensional chromatogram, to be a basic acid. |
