Zusammenfassung: | Domosh (1991) proposes that a specifically feminist historiography of geography needs to be developed. In support, in addition to general remarks about 'the post-modern turn', she cites several women travellers who made no contribution in their time to the emergence of the discipline and most of whom are long forgotten. There are several mainstream women professional geographers who repay investigation, but there is no advantage in labelling such studies 'feminist' simply because the subjects are women. The case for a feminist historiography of geography has not been made. |
