Zusammenfassung: | Aluminum is determined by precipitating it with 8‐hydroxyquinoline in an ammoniacal solution containing tartrate, cyanide, and hydrogen peroxide. The method makes possible the direct precipitation of aluminum in the presence of all the substances normally found in the “mixed oxides” commonly called R2O3. The procedure has been successfully applied to synthetic samples containing iron and titanium and to National Bureau of Standards samples of clay, bauxite, and a fired refractory. The precision of the proposed procedure is about 0.5 part per 1000 and the accuracy is about 0.08%. |
