Zusammenfassung: | Free recall of categorized word lists was subjected to an analysis of Inter-Response Times (IRTs). Earlier results, which showed a clear difference between IRTs occurring within a conceptual category and IRTs occurring at the transition between categories, were replicated. The inclusion of a new experimental condition allowed inferences to be made about constituent processes which produce the between-category IRTs. The inferred processes were combined into a model which, it was shown, produced IRT data comparable to that observed in the experiment. |
