Zusammenfassung: | Two computer-interfaced instruments have been developed to measure the microscopic features of surfaces. One is based on a stylus which tracks across the surface being studied, while the other is based upon a measuring microscope. Both have wide potential applications within archaeology, but they are currently being used to measure layered structures on the surface of ancient human tooth crowns and programs have been developed to analyse the results. |
