On the genius of architecture

Critical review of David Britt's translation, with an introduction by Robin Middleton, of Nicholas Le Camus de Mezieres' The Genius of Architecture, first published in Paris in 1780. Criticizes the style and presentation of the translation itself, and discusses aspects of Le Camus' work as an architect in Paris, and the background to it, which are neglected or disregarded in Middleton's introduction.
