Student attitudes toward the poor

When beginning social work students' attitudes toward the poor were measured, significant differences in attitudes were correlated with sociodemographic background and selected occupational and educational experiences prior to entering graduate school. The major implication is that the importance of environment as a socializing factor among future professionals has been underemphasized.
