Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this article is to identify research cycles in computer-based technology in music education through a review of selected research. These research cycles/patterns are: technological development, adaptation, feasibility, and effectiveness. The identification of research tendencies is important, because it places current research in a defining framework, illustrates why research strategies and teaching models in this field have changed at such a rapid pace, and helps to define future research directions.
