Ridge and Furrow, Mole and Tile

It is demonstrated, in respect of the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, that to a high degree recent field drainage activity coincides with mediaeval ridge and furrow. There is a close correlation with geological outcrops and soil series.
