Zusammenfassung:Folklorist Eric Maple died in February 1994. Maple's main interest was in traditions of the 'witch country' and in psychic matters. His four papers on witchcraft, published in 'Folklore,' are a valuable contribution to literature on English witchcraft. Maple wrote two books on witchcraft, 'The Dark World of Witches' and 'The Domain of Devils.' Maple was known amongst friends for his wisdom and wit and as a rationalist, in spite of his contact with fantasists.
