Zusammenfassung:The exponential utility, moment-generating function approach to stochastic efficiency is used to evaluate pest control technologies for cotton under normal, gamma, and beta distributed crop yields. Results suggest that early termination of cotton is more profitable than current practice but may not be preferred if risk aversion characterizes grower behavior. Research directions and policy implications are indicated.
