Zusammenfassung: | The Conference has provided the basis of testimony and a likely panel of experts to give support to legislative proposals that may arise from the recommendations of the sub-theme sessions. The Conference over-achieved its goals of producing an action agenda for the Office of Personnel Management. OPM will make every effort to respond to the needs that have been identified and the program directions that were recommended. Yet resources are limited and will probably be increased only minimally. Existing funds will have to be used more carefully and effectively. The existing resource base should not be discounted, however, for it can be used to buy greater leverage to exert the needed forces to move the program so well-framed at this Conference. |
