Zusammenfassung: | A discussion of the prerequisites & nature of soc action, using the concept of the life space as a starting point. A delineation of the action process is outlined. Soc action may be initiated by 1 person, however... .change cannot be effected without the support, either active or passive, of a majority of the pop. Anomie & marginality are discussed as disorganizing factors. Marginal man is defined as one who leaves one life space for another & loses the security of the previous group. This type of individual 'has a great opportunity to develop an anomic att,' which will result in his opposition 'to soc action participation ...In a society such as ours, where individuals have a high degree of mobility potential, one can find a breaking down in core values & the development of guidance based upon emotions to a greater degree ... individuals attempting to develop dynamic soc action movements will find it necessary to determine to some extent the degree to which the society is socialized & integrated.'
