Zusammenfassung: | In an attempt to specify the mechanism of impaired A-B recall in the A-B, A-C interference paradigm, the availability of the A-C pairs and the dominance of the C responses were varied. In three independent replications, substantial reductions in that availability and dominance failed to improve recall of the B responses, contrary to the recent reformulations of interference theory by Martin (1971, 1973) and by Postman, Stark, and Fraser (1968). |
