Zusammenfassung:As law schools become increasingly successful in recruiting students with minority racial backgrounds, the legal profession must take up the obligation of seeing that these students do not find the doors of law firms closed to them. The University of California School of Law at Berkeley (Boalt) initiated a program in 1969 to obtain summer clerkships for first- and second-year minority students. The program met with great success and should serve as a pattern for bar associations willing to undertake a similar endeavor.
