ChemInform Abstract: Organocatalyzed Anodic Oxidation of Aldehydes

The direct anodic oxidation of the organocatalytically generated intermediate derived from the aldehyde and thiazolium perchlorate MTP or ITP (Breslow intermediates) in the presence of a variety of alcohols affords carboxylic acid esters without the use of exogenous oxidants.
