ChemInform Abstract: The First One-Pot Synthesis of 1,3-Dicarbonyl Adamantanes from 1-Bromoadamantanes

CBr4·2AlBr3‐mediated carbonylation of 1‐bromoadamantanes (I) followed by quenching the carbonylation products with nucleophiles provides a convenient access to 1,3‐dicarbonyl adamantanes such as (IV), (VI) and (VIII).
