Health Most Common Frame for Spinach, Peanut Recalls

This study examines the frames used in the 2006 spinach and the 2009 peanut recalls. A content analysis found the most common frames were health, business ethics and political strategies. The tone of the coverage was slightly negative. Stories focused little on the cause of the recall.
