Reviews the film, Emotionally Focused Therapy in Action with Sue Johnson (2011). Spanning two DVDs, host Victor Yalom interviews Sue Johnson, director of the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, on the fundamental concepts behind emotionally focused therapy for couples (EFT; Johnson, 2007), and Johnson demonstrates her approach through a case consultation and psychotherapy session with Rhea and Matt, a middle-aged Caucasian couple struggling with the aftermath of military deployment. Although the video focuses on EFT for couples, it may be useful for students, educators, and therapists practicing from a variety of stances.
