ChemInform Abstract: Enantioselective Reduction of Ketoxime Ethers with Borane-Oxazaborolidines and Synthesis of the Key Intermediate Leading to (S)-Rivastigmine

The reduction of some ketoxime O‐benzyl ethers (I), (IV) with borane is catalyzed by terpene oxazaborolidine NOB derived from (1R)‐nopinone to give the corresponding amines (II) and (V) with high enantioselectivities.
