Zusammenfassung:The author analyzes various musical passages by Hungarian composers György Kurtág and Péter Eötvös, and looks for the influences of Bartók and Ernö Lendvai. Both composers have seen Lendvai's theories as a valid method of analysis for Bartók's music and as a stimulus for their own creative process. In particular, the theories of intervallic approach are explored. Musical examples are included.
