Togetherness

The author offers his thoughts on togetherness from a musical and compositional perspective and states that the effort to reconstitute a modernist ethos from the point of view of togetherness still remains crucial. In Benjamin Boretz's conceptual universe, the relationship of these particular key terms (modernism, togetherness - an analytical category, a mode of being) is associative; the project of reconstruction still unfinished. Henceforth, it is a matter of showing but not telling.
