Zusammenfassung: | In the last decade, there has been a plethora of studies using non-traditional research methods in the study of physical activity. Sport psychology researchers in particular have used qualitative methodologies in an attempt to gain a greater understanding of the subjective experience of the athletes and because of these studies, several researchers have published review articles or discussion papers outlining the use of qualitative research in the field. Here, Ababai and Ababei examine various ways in which qualitative methodologies can have contributed to the knowledge and understanding of physical activity research including both exercise and sport. |
