ChemInform Abstract: The Divergent Transformations of Aromatic o-Aminonitrile with Carbonyl Compound

In the Friedlaender annulation of aromatic o‐aminonitriles (I) with carbonyl compounds (II) and (V) in the presence of zinc chloride, a new transformation is observed constituting a pair of divergent reaction.
