Zusammenfassung:With the use of the procedure of a combined specimen, the limiting depths of penetration of powder strikers of silicon carbide and copper into 45 steel have been found. The efficiency of retardation of the strikers by a block of layered obstacles depending on the foil material has been determined. Based on the complex analysis of the information obtained, it has been proposed that high-speed jets whose forepart consists of the microstriker material and whose main rear part consists of the obstacle metal are formed in the process of superdeep penetration.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
