Hypoglycemic encephalopathy as a result of an attempted suicide

T2 on brain MRI on admission (Fig. 1A, arrows) revealed an increased reversible signal intensity in the left temporal and occipital gray matter, right putamen, both posterior limbs of the internal capsule and the triangular area of the lateral ventricle.
