Zusammenfassung: | Differences between singing technique and speaking technique are examined, and the following tips are provided that can help teachers preserve their voices in the grueling marathon of everyday classroom or rehearsal teaching: (1) Take the time to warm up. (2) Make sure you have enough breath when you are giving instructions or talking with your singers. (3) If you have a large group and there is a lot of noise, use a bell or chime or other signaling device to get their attention. (4) Speak a little above the pitch of the room. (5) Keep the voice hydrated. (6) Be conscious of how you are using your body. (7) Don't forget to cool down. A brief list of related reading materials is included. |
