With her orchestral work "Bubble Trip", the Swiss composer Cécile Marti (*1973) won the composition competition of the "Weimarer Frühjahrstage" festival for contemporary music in 2008, shortly after the end of her studies with Dieter Ammann. In this portrait, Michelle Ziegler sketches out Cécile Marti's artistic development and identitfies important aspects of her craft through her four part cycle "Bubble Trio," "AdoRatio," "ProLogus," "Wave Trip," such as her dense yet subtle and precise textures, or her forms that grow as it step by step - forms that she lets unfold almost organically, without following any pre-established structures.
