Zusammenfassung:There is evidence for an association between serotonin transporter gene variations and substance use disorders (SUD). Understanding the interactions among sex, traumatic experiences, and genotypes will advance drug abuse prevention efforts by identifying the subset of adolescents who may benefit from interventions to prevent disorders resulting from affective dysregulation.
