Zusammenfassung: | We reviewed data from the Cooperative Cardiovascular Project (CCP). This project is a database of one of the largest number of elderly patients with an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Pulse pressure data was analyzed by quartile to determine the impact of Calcium channel blockers (CCBs) on survival of elderly patients. Data was not analyzed as to specific types of CCBs. This data suggests a trend in survival benefit of elderly African-Americans treated with CCBs post-AMI. |
