P-57: Regression of left ventricular hypertrophy and blood pressure
It is known that 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure (ABPM) is better correlated with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in hypertension than office BP. However, it is less known what the relation between regression LVH and changes and regulation of BP is. 73 patients with II-III stage hypertension (4...

Zusammenfassung: | It is known that 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure (ABPM) is better correlated with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in hypertension than office BP. However, it is less known what the relation between regression LVH and changes and regulation of BP is. 73 patients with II-III stage hypertension (43 male) average age 55.9 ±8 and LVH determinated by echocardiography has been treated for a year. BP was ambulatory measured and 24-hour ABPM before the start of the research, after 6 months and the end of the research. Regression of LVH shown in LV mass index decrease is significantly correlated with the change of BP registered 24 hour AMBP. Significant correlation was determined by average 24 hour SBP (R=0.3; p |
