P-343: Microalbuminuria in white coat hypertensives with isolated systolic hypertension
White coat hypertension (WCH) is defined as the occurrence of blood pressure (BP) values higher than normal when measured in the medical office but within the normal range in ambulatory BP measurements (30 (44.4 vs 31%, p=0.009). The same held true for 24h α1-microglobulin excretion, with higher val...

Zusammenfassung: | White coat hypertension (WCH) is defined as the occurrence of blood pressure (BP) values higher than normal when measured in the medical office but within the normal range in ambulatory BP measurements (30 (44.4 vs 31%, p=0.009). The same held true for 24h α1-microglobulin excretion, with higher values in ISH (7.46 vs 6.63 mg/lt, p=0.04). WCH subjects with ISH have greater renal involvement with increased urinary excretion of microalbumin and microglobulin, and thus are of higher cardiovascular risk. |
