Zusammenfassung:This study examines, through various correspondences in the eighteenth century, the use of liturgical rites and official parties in order to affirming the authority of church of state. Gear colonial involved several activities - administrative, economic and military; but also understood an apparatus of public representation of powers. Treaties about the indoctrination of the gentiles circulated throughout Europe. The rites and official celebrations were regulated by laws of kingdom and diocesan constitutions. They should dramatize the colonial order of domination, produce admiration, fear, and respect in people. The colonial authorities were obliged to take part in them; aimed at reaffirm the colonial order and defend to the hierarchy and the domination of the conquered areas. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
