Zusammenfassung:The limited number of publications on the oxygen isotope composition (18O) in minerals of mantle parageneses is most likely explained by the conclusion of researchers on the practically invariant character of 18O values for each of the minerals composing rocks of the lithospheric mantle. The conclusion on the invariant character of the O2 isotope composition for minerals of the lithospheric mantle suggesting independence of its values on paragenesis and facial belonging is related to the concept of the mantle range as an O2 isotope characteristic of mantle rocks.
