Zusammenfassung:Error vector magnitude (EVM) is an important figure of merit in many communication systems. In this work an analytical approach to the calculation of EVM in clipped multi- carrier signals is proposed. In contrast to previous work, the EVM in this work is calculated with no simplifying model (e.g. a Gaussian assumption). The expression is given in a form of a power series. Based on the derived expressions for EVM, bounds on the maximal achievable rate are derived.
