Zusammenfassung: | Studies have shown the value of using 3D computer technology in teaching. Few studies have been targeted to assess students' opinions about professors using such technologies in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to assess students' experience and familiarity with computer technology and to obtain information about their opinions about the use of computer technology in the science classroom. One-hundred thirty-nine students participated in the study. Biographical information, computer background questions, and response questions (following the viewing of a 3D animation online program) were obtained. Students reported using computers for 3.9 hours per day. Eight-six percent indicated that they wished professors would use computers more often and overall they responded positively to using 3D computer-based animations for learning. |
