Editor's Message: Looking Toward the Future

The Section on Geriatrics was a visible and energetic presence during the 3-day conference, beginning with a breakfast celebration recognizing 143 newly geriatric clinical specialists, through cutting-edge, clinically applicable programming and seminars, sharing of hot-off the press evidence to guide practice through platform and poster presentations, to the nuts and bolts of committee meetings that include efforts to develop resources for effective outcome measurement, clinical practice guidelines, and planning of regional programming to meet educational needs of members.
