Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this research was to determine if the figure of the leader has a direct relationship with the presence of psychosocial risks, either due to their possible participation in prevention, detection, or even their promotion, or the lack of emotional intelligence on the part of the leader or followers that creates a gap between what is truly a risk and what is pursued as such from the point of view of the emotions of those who experience it, so that the presence of risks in the organization could be determined by the lack of IE. The methodology was carried out with a qualitative approach that, supported by observation, allowed us to find specific characteristics of the work environment and EI that shed light on elements that could influence the presence of psychosocial risks. Among the results, the workers surveyed stated that they are not recognized for their work, that only errors stand out and despite the fact that these exist, the way in which they address them to let them know is not correct because they feel that they are humiliated and that they always they are blamed for not having the information to do their job. A strong relationship was found between the leadership granted by the position and the presence of psychosocial risks at work; that the lack of emotional intelligence demerits labor relations and generates demotivation and lack of competitiveness in the company.
A strong relationship was found between the leadership granted by the position and the presence of psychosocial risks at work; that the lack of emotional intelligence demerits labor relations and generates demotivation and lack of competitiveness in the company. The intuitive character of the Emotional intelligence (EI) detects emotions and allows controlling them to handle social interactions and having an advantage in the business world since it permits predicting criteria that is important, anticipating changes in the performance. It is the most critical EI competence since it implicates the control of emotional regulation, the acknowledgement of different reactions, and the proper identification of each one of them; even though it seems simple, it is surprising to know the number of people who are not conscious of their own emotional reactions. Self-regulation is the control of moods, destructive impulses, and internal resources. |
