Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this book chapter was to present the concept of a self-realized leader, a person who has developed physically, intellectually, and emotionally, among others, who feels satisfied, and who has the ability to transform his followers. An exhaustive review of the concept of self-actualization was carried out, and the theories of Abram Maslow and those of other authors were considered as a starting point. The approached methodology was of a documentary type, and sources such as Scopus were consulted. Among the results obtained, the characteristics of a self-realized leader are shown as well as how this self-realization contributes to organizational sustainability, which is aligned with the 2030 agenda on Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries and their societies to embark on a new path with which everyone's life should be improved.
